I got pots of this one year (2007) at a local garden center one and only year.

I've never seen it since.

Here's some pics I took in my flowerbeds. I was hoping they'd overwinter, that's why I planted them instead of potting them up in containers.

It has a nice bright red colored flower. Very nice.

Love the combination with the Zinnias and Gaillardia.

Although red is not a favorite color for me, I like the way this looks in combination with your other plants. Also, really like the stone edging and what kind of soil are you using in your planting bed--is it pretty gritty for the salvia?

Thanks! Thumbs up

I just have a lean (not fertile rich) soil that has: all purpose sand (not play sand), some gypsum mixed in for drainage, small angular crushed limestone gravel mixed in (also for drainage), a small handful of both Yum Yum Mix & Planters II (that I got at High Country Gardens) and small angular crushed limestone gravel on top of the soil. It works well with Agastache, Salvia, Penstemon, Lavender plants and Butterfly Weed plants.
