Well, I didn't mean to start a thread, but since we're here, hello! Hope all of you are recovering from our arctic blast and getting moving outside. I thought I was just commenting on my branchy picture of She Talks to Angels.
I just got Satin Facets from Floyd Cove and am super-excited to have such a pristine, ruffled and ribbed DORMANT white to breed!
Those recessive dormant genes finally got together, and in a beautiful way. So I have been scheming a bit, trying to establish which of my pale dormant or SEV daylilies I'll be using to pollinate her flowers with. She Talks to Angels, Destin Dreamin', Kensington Plantation and Redneck Reunion come to mind. I'll be spreading her pollen all around the garden, too, especially on all the fluffy whites, many of which are evergreen. Finally have Whirling White now, so she will get some pollen too, although it seems like poor taste to cross a Pierce with a Pierce.
What tet would YOU like to see her crossed with?
