Lynn, coming back from wal-mart and buying me "another" strawberry pot,i heard a song on the radio and it came to me.The problem with you not getting any babies, you were singing "you are my sunshine" your making your plant think it's to young you need to be singing 'ANGEL' by Shaggy!! If you don't know what song i'm talking about go to youtube.I wasn't very old then but i remember my mom singing it all the time and she didn't have no problem,i have siblings!!! Lovey dubby

It rained all day yesterday and we're in for another wet day today. I'm hopping mad lol Grumbling I hate seeing it all left in such a mess, but there's not much I can do about it. Crying I also noticed that one of my new semps needs a bit of tcl, the under leaves are mushy and need removing, but I can't even do that! We've had a couple of weeks with no rain what so ever. The minute I take a couple of days off work to garden, it POURS Grumbling Grumbling

Thanks Chris, I'm actually shower dodging right now. Yes the ground is like a swamp, and yes, I'm not actually achieving a great deal, but at least I'm outside doing something and that makes me feel a bit better. Even if I'm going to have to re-do most of it when its dry again lol. That is probably enough to make me officially nuts lol. Hilarious!

I agree Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing not sure, the forecast only goes as far as next Friday, and it's wet every day up until then Crying

Although after digging in the soil after just a few days rain I'm a bit concerned as to how my semps will cope, even with a good amount of grit dug in. It's very, very wet and sticky out there, I suspect that they wont be too happy.

Maybe you could add some compost to the soil? That would help to break up the clay. That's what I have to do here.

Yep Lynn me too! Lots of compost or I've added potting soil, which I know is very expensive but it gave me the type of soil I wanted without having to wait for compost to do its thing!!
Kate sending sunshine your way!! We just began clearing up this morning, and it seems like its going to be warm and nice!
I tip my hat to you.
