I appreciate your comments guys. I always manage to feel kind of inferior here when I see all your plants

Oh please. Don't think of it as inferior. You just grow a lot of different plants and some of them happen to be orchids. Your collection makes me so jealous!! I tip my hat to you.
Between you, Lindsey, Elaine and Ursula, you guys grow my butt upside down, inside out, backwards and forwards!!
You do nothing but add strongly to the site, these threads, and our collective plant knowledge!

Everyone brings different knowledge, different experiences, and collectively we are better with everyone involved. ❤️

@sedumzz I think this an interesting bloom

It looks peloric! Having 3 lips?
Just curious, was this the only bloom on that plant looking like that?

Interesting? Well that is one word for it.
Mis-shapened is another. Clasped petals is another term to describe it.

It is a shame though. Peloric forms of orchids are so pretty, somewhat rare, and commonly have reversions in form. I hope that this is only temporary.

No? I forgot, I think all of them on 1 stalk had 3, on another stock had 5. It was labeled Cattleya intermediate, so ID is correct I think.

Bigbill, thanks for ID! I will move Imaggy!!!
I have a noid orchid here: So interesting, but bad photo. Just genus is fine I have a few other IDs

Is this a giant Bulbophyllum falcatum?

So this one crazy intermediate bloom wasn't a fluke!

I know, all you need is genus.

Your unknown is a Bulbophyllum. It is one of the species that has the flowers arranged on a 'rachis'. But since it is so out of focus, it is impossible to go any further then that.

I would have to say that it is probably a species of Gongora. But I can't be 100 % sure.

I added the blue Vanda to the Orchid forum info-box, since it was a nice and clear pic. Thumbs up
Don't mind me saying so, one does like to see pics in the database which add information and are also visually nice/interesting. I thought that one fit the bill.

Sedumzz,
Go to the homepage of the Orchid forum. On my IPad it is to the right of the page.
Here is the top part of the page

So I have this blooming too. What is it? Seems to be the same as already shown by others. I have always thought it was Dend loddigesii

If you are comparing yours to Prabhi's Den, the one thing that really sticks out for me are the canes. Prabhi's are bare of leaves, yours is still green.
I would think yours is loddigesii.

Well, I remember loddigesii blooming on both leafed and leafless canes. It just has seldom more then one or two flowers together. The canes typically are very slender, Prahbi's were a bit fatter.
Loddigesii will bloom Spring and Fall with there being more blooms this time of year.
But those gorgeous little frilly lipped blossoms are so cute and colorful. But I can find no reason to think that it is not loddigesii! Nice job Gina!! Thumbs up

Nice Job is right! Thumbs up
I tried several plants of Den loddegesii through the years, I think I managed 1 single bloom. I could grow the plant reasonably ok, but they refused to bloom for me. I could never figure them out!

Leafed out canes and bare canes - hmm maybe I never got the seasons right!
