i have a few boxwood's at the back of my house . for the past 3 weeks if you stand near them it sounds like a bowl of rice crispy's . now i just noticed all of a sudden on the ground around them it looks like ground up boxwood leaves and some leaves that look like they were broke off . does anyone have a clue what type of bug is doing this ? i plan on cutting them down because they are so close up to the house it is causing mold on the side of the house . but i am worried that what ever type bug it is may get in my other bushes and plants . any help would be greatly appreciated . thanks in advance

RainRabbit, it sounds like you have leaf miners. Yes, you must control them now, when they are active but hopefully before they begin laying their eggs. Go to your big box or garden center, and choose a pesticide meant to be used in gardens/landscapes that specifically says it will kill and control leaf miners.
