I bought this indoor hanging glass planter terrarium and I have no idea what kind of plants to put in there and where I can get them. Any help would be appreciated. I am in Southern California zone 10 if that matters. Dimensions are 8.7 x 7 x 2 inches. Thanks.

That's adorable! You can put snips of any plants known to take root easily in water. Assuming it will be in little to no direct sun, look for low-light plants. There are so many possibilities. A couple upright snips mixed with a few that dangle would be totally cute. As they grow, you can trim them &/or start new snips.

Plant cuttings, just like the picture shows, or cut flowers for a sort of minimalist bouquet. It's really neither a planter nor terrarium, despite what the description says. You're limited only by your imagination...interesting twigs and dried or fresh ornamental grasses with flowers could be attractive. Some houseplants like the pictured pothos (Epipremnum) can live almost indefinitely in water. Fragrant herb cuttings would be nice, too.

Thanks for the suggestion of epipremnum. Does anyone know of any other plants that would work?

Yes, waaaaaaaay too many to make a list without some other parameters to reduce the number. What do you like? Where will you put this?

I like simple easy growing plants. This will be put on a south facing wall inside the house however it will not get any direct sunlight since we have a patio awning cover.

I am not sure that is enough light for live plants.

I don't think your glass vials are meant for a terrarium with soil but rather for placing stems of cut flowers to enjoy temporarily, or for use as a house plant water propagation system. I snip stems from numerous plants on occasion and stick them in jars and vases of water to take root. Most do it for root propagation, to eventually transfer them to soil but I'm old lazy and I tend to let stuff grow in water indefinitely. Green Grin! I got the below "propagator" from amazon a couple of years ago and stuck misc. stems in each glass vase.

Lin, that's so cute! IDK how I missed it when you originally put it up here.

Agreed they're more of a temp/rooting/enjoy blooms thing, but best of luck trying other stuff!

easy enough to try some things and swap out if they decline.
Chamaedorea- Parlor palm.. mine had a sprout with very few roots, I put it in a glass vase and it's happy.
You could buy some little starters of parlor palm, peace lily, Peace lily, Aglaonema , any other low light plants, look for ones with a little sprout or rosette, pull it out, wash off the roots, see how it does?
Tip cutting of heartleaf Philo?
Whatever looks good to you, if it isn't super happy, might just sit there green but not growing. Maybe that's OK- unless you really want something trailing down the wall.
Plant it and they will come.
