The 8 Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillars are growing fast. They stay mostly together at this stage.

I also found this on a Hop Tree, seems to be a Giant Swallowtail caterpillar. I think I did see one of those butterflies flying by once a while back, but not not sure.

Nice tiger swallowtail! I spotted a really big tiger swallowtail outside the window today...gone by the time I got my shoes on and went outside. Later this Texas Crescent was on the front slope nectaring on Blackfoot Daisy.

Thanks Sheryl ... we have lots of the Red-bellied Woodpeckers here that visit the feeders daily. I got a new camera last week and I've been having fun getting close up shots!
