Margaret, I am impressed by your delphinium because you have had it for so long and it is obviously well adjusted to a climate colder than mine.....

IF you have seeds next year, that would be great. But if not, I do have other options.

CG, I am pretty sure I will have seeds next year, too bad I can't send you a baby plant, this spring I had lots of them. Sad

No worries - I have started delphinium from seed before -
Fell down on the job with the seed collecting though and have precious few left!.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

woofie said:I love playing in the GH when the weather is chilly outside! Nice and toasty and no nasty wind! I don't do much direct sowing either, but that's mostly because we have industrial strength weeds and it's just too hard to clear them out in advance to direct sow. At least we don't have to deal with slugs here! Yuck!

How do you heat your greenhouse ?

Rainrabbit, not that you need any more advice on germinating your delphiniums, but they do not need light to germinate, as per packet instructions. I merely cut out a piece of dark plastic garbage bag, and place it over that particular germinating tray under my lights. They germinate readily, but after hardening-off and planting out, I never see them again!!! LOL.

Sue, that's fine. I don't always check, and who knows, we may get a past poster back to the fold. Here is what I read: delphiniums ... need help please by RainRabbit 15 hours ago 46 replies. Just volunteered to answer from the prompt on the Forum "New Thread" site.
