The Terms of Agreement list this item under Termination:
"If you wish to terminate this Agreement or your Garden.org account (if you have one), you may simply discontinue using the Website. All provisions of this Agreement which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability."
Could I ask someone to please explain in lay terms why an account here cannot be permanently deleted as can be done on so many other sites, alternatively to "just not using it"? A couple of attempts to contact staff have been ignored. I understand and accept that past contributions are now the property of Garden.org. Am not as clear why I must hang onto an account that hasn't been used in years and is no longer wanted. Thanks to anyone willing to tackle this. Best.

My understanding is that if you really want your account deleted, you just ask Dave. Previous members who have deleted their accounts have just asked Dave and he's done it.

Dave was tagged but since it's the weekend and Sunday, you may not get a reply until tomorrow or Tuesday.

If you haven't added any photos (or any database contributions) and haven't posted here in 3 years, I don't understand why just logging out and not coming back wouldn't be sufficient? If your account is totally wiped clear, it will not remove any posts you made 3 plus years ago to avoid a confusion in the threads.
But Dave can certainly do that if it's what you want.

It's Fathers Day weekend. I believe he has a few kids hanging around. Well deserved day off.

I can delete accounts and I do delete any account upon request. You just have to contact me here on the site or at [email protected]
