Congrats Jojoe; Noticeable growth and spread of your sedums and now semp babies??!! Woo Hoo!!

I Just purchased from a drive-by nursery, a new semp that looks suspiciously from Lowe's: It's a semp that's green-grey but very **Fuzzy**
I may just put it into its own pot just to be able to locate it immediately to look at;

Thumb of 2013-04-19/jojoe/928058
It was labeled Golden Adolphii but it's orange. What do yall think,a cold hardy adolphii or a tender succulent.I'm not finished!! Whistling

The 2 big ones in the middle are really pretty, but i don't know if the smaller ones to each side are the same or will be different? Shrug!

Wal-mart can't seem to label their semp any thing but generic mix but so far the 2 strawberry pots have had the same kind in each pot?

I have bought so many semps with babies and all the ones in my bed have babies. If ANYONE see's any they would like to have just ask, send a T-mail.Plants are made to be shared and everyone has helped me out so much,i don't mind sharing with all of yall.Look at what my 'jade rose' looks like now.

I would love to share any of my plants.I can post pictures of one that's another noid but has turned such a pretty lavender color and there is also enough of them to share as well as the huge red center noid. Hurray!

Golden Adolphii looks to be correct. Growing conditions (temperatures and moisture) affect the coloring of this sedum.
Second photo appears to have two different types of sempervivum, which are both lovely. Thumbs up

They all are looking wonderful Jelinda. Hurray!

Bev,I meant to tell you i love the drive by nursery find!!! Hurray! Take picture after you get it planted so we can see what color changes it goes through. That one looks teddy beat fuzzy my grandbaby has to touch EVERYTHING yesterday it was a butterfly on a flower she touched & then the prettiest pink & yellow moth.I know she would want to touch your fuzzy semp. Hilarious!

The second one you posted looks a lot like one i got from SS.

I think this one is 'Pacific Blue Ice'
But i've decided there must be a million different ones, well i guess since they change color with temp, sun etc. it seems like it.

Nice finds Hurray!

Lynn, I've noticed that there's two colors (and a fuzzy and non-fuzzy) in the Silver King photos of the Plant Database. AND I went to another nursery and saw a semp labeled Silver King but unlike mine, it was the plumish, non-fuzzy version. I can see 2 semps having the same ID but with different colors due to growing and/or seasonal conditions but can these 2 semps also differ in fuzziness with one being fuzzy and the other not? I guess I have never noticed whether fuzzy and ciliated and tufted and hairy are affected by seasonal changes or other factors...???

Jojoe, I'll try and keep track of this Silver King the best I can but can't promise anything given my forgetfulness....but it has become one of my favorites, so it better behave and grow for me!! Angry

Bev, there does seem to be two different Silver King semps out there. Neither of them have information about origin or breeder. Shrug!
The green one with fuzziness can show more cilia at certain times of the year.
I've been trying to track down info on this plant for some time now.

Jojoe, glad you didn't drive all that way alone! (you had me nervous when I read that post!!) Safety before semps! (that's my new motto!) Thumbs up nodding

Bev I have the smooth 'Silver King' It was maroon when I bought it, but is now going through some color changes and becoming more green!! I would have thought it was mislabeled except there were several and all had the same label. (could have happened at the grower, but somehow I don't think so!) I tip my hat to you.

Greg, stopped at a nursery to drop off used pots and also saw a brigade of 'Silver King' that was colored maroon. Makes me wonder about the fuzzy one I have at home...Well even if ID'ed incorrectly, I still think this specimen is really different from all that I have. Now where should I put it...?????
