I was wondering whether sunflowers need a specific ratio of NPK fertilizer.
I read that fertilizers specifically made for tomato plants is suitable but I'm not sure. I have fertilizer granules for tomatoes with an NPK ratio of 14.5-7-15.
Can this be used?
This may not be any use to you, but this is the first year I've ever had really good, strong sunflowers. I threw some birdseed on top of a pile of soil from the greenhouse, that the cats had been using for litterboxes. Two volunteer zucchini and a huge Chinese lantern are also thriving there. The buckwheat I sowed to cover it is not thriving.
Behind every opportunity is a disaster in waiting.
@JohnnyGui
Sunflower fertilizer ratio 10 15 10. You can try the tomato fertilizer, since they are annuals. @Serpent Vera I blew up laughing to myself when I read what you wrote, I've had all kinds of interesting things come up in my yard this year. I added 3 new feeders so the seeds have been getting around more. Sunflowers, squash, melons, corn, mustard, all kinds of flowers, and some things yet to be determined. It's been an interesting year so far!
