Dave, is there a way we can have a forum for Tender Succulents separate from Cactus.
I think we have so much going on and such a great interest in this category that it should have it's own forum.
I could move my stuff into it, and maybe Hetty would like to move her stuff into it. I don't care who the moderator would be, could even be a shared project?

We can do that, yes.

Here is our Cactus and Tender Succulents forum:

http://garden.org/forums/view/...

A few thoughts first: I'm certainly willing to split the two forums apart but I really don't see a reason to do so? I kind of like seeing a nice and active forum and splitting it apart risks spreading it a little thinner and consequently driving discussion down.

I agree with Hetty, too many more related forums would be confusing. As it is, there is the Cactus and Tender Succulents Forum, Sedum Forum and Sempervivum and Jovibarba Forum. I think most people would look for these all within one category. Further dividing would not help.

Too bad we couldn't have sort of "sub-forums" within the forums. Whistling

The separate threads serve as sub-forums. Smiling

I like the idea of sub-forums, but I haven't seen it work in practice. There are websites that divide roses into forums for old garden roses and for modern roses, for instance, but people don't post accordingly. They discuss both types of roses in both forums.

Ah, good point. We are, er, "herding cats" here. Hilarious! Which is why so many threads end up in the sandbox! Rolling on the floor laughing

Well, now you've done it! I had to go watch my favorite commercial of all time, and now I'll probably hang around on YouTube all day instead of doing anything productive. Hilarious!

That was great Zuzu.

I agree I agree with all, I didn't think this through very well before making the request. I may need to move some of the new threads in the Sempervivum Forum over to your Cactus/Tender Succulent Forum Hetty. Thumbs up

They just keep showing up. Smiling

Everyone is welcome in the Cactus/Tender SucculentForum Welcome!

It's interesting that there are clearly people who grow both tender and hardy succulents. They'll just have to divide their time between the two forums I suppose. Smiling
