Hello. Ok, so I honestly know very little about palm trees (or trees in general), but a relative recently gifted me what I believe is a Queen Palm. The thing is that it's been like four months since the palms transplant and it hasn't recovered. The old leaves are brown and the new leaves are greenish (tho they look a bit sick to be honest) but they won't grow upwards, they just fall to the side.

I water it about three times a week, and I'm in Tijuana so even though it's summer, the weather's not that hot. It has mulch over the soil. Also, something I noticed is that if you like try to push the palm a little, it moves a bit, so the trunk doesn't seem to be fixed on the soil, like the other palm we transplanted.

The palm used to look healthy, with upward leaves, before the transplant.

I would like to get a little advice, because I honestly don't know if it's transplant shock, if I'm giving it too much water or not enough, and if it could recover (because I used to have a palm that also grew green new leaves but never upward, they just fell to the side like with this one).

I can't seem to find info about it, and I really just want to know if there's a way to save the palm, or if I should just let it go.

If you need more photos I can take them, just tell me.
Thanks so much

I think you overwatered it and the roots have rotted.

Hi and Welcome! @Natam
I have a Queen Palm, they are not the prettiest of palms. Queen Palms like ample water, so I really don't think you overwatered. But, I am concerned when you say it doesn't feel secure in the soil. It sound like your problem is the transplant itself. If you don't want to get rid of it, I would dig it up to see what's going on down there. If it's been 4 months and you have been watering it, it shouldn't be moving around.
