Oh Ursula, your C. loddegesii x Rlc Cynthia is so pretty Lovey dubby
I wish I could get my
Trichoglottis atropurpurea To produce more than 2 flowers, they are such cool flowers with the crazy lip and thin white picotee.
Thanks Gigi, I wish I could take credit for the Fascelis bloom , all credit goes to the grower I bought it from ( and of course, my Visa card!)
There's some new stuff to share this morning.

And my little Trichoglottis atropurpurea with 2 cute flowers. Ursula, have you noticed that yours opens on the same day every year. This showed up in my Facebook memory for the past 3 years

Lindsey, not on the same day for me, but surely fairly close! I find that this Trichoglottis really needs really bright and warm conditions to bloom, and we don't always have such a nice hot Summer as we had this year. Mine is doing its best ever since I got it probably around 20 years ago. It is a fairly long plant by now. I am enjoying those neat blooms!!
I love your Why Not too!! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Newly opening today for me: V. Robert's Delight still quite cupped, but coming along with nice vivid colors.

Also the nice white NOID Den, one of my Apopka bargains that do so well. Alone, and in a group shot with all the B. nodosas for a symphony in white.

(Please excuse the mess, unlike Ursula's greenhouse, my pool cage is at it's most cluttered and dirty at this time of year. As soon as the weather cools and dries a bit, it gets cleared out, and entirely power-washed.)

Me too! I always enjoy Robert's Delight. Lovey dubby
Regarding the cupped blooms, I grew that Vanda for some years and the blooms on mine always stayed somewhat cupped. One of my fb Orchid friends, also an Orchid Judge, told me to gently water the blooms along with the plant. Once wet, one can gently straighten those cupped blooms out. I did that and it worked quite well.

Ah ha! Thanks. I'll try that tomorrow when more of the blooms are open. Or maybe after it rains IF it rains. So far all sound and fury, lots of thunder but not a drop of precip yet. Sighing!
