This used to happen to my roses if it got too hot and dry in the afternoon. Blooms looked great at 9 am but by 1:30 pm they'd be as dry as potpourri. Maybe try shielding them with an umbrella/shade in peak afternoon hours when the sun is at its hottest.

Thanks so much. Y'all rock. That is what I kinda figured. Near Austin and the hear has been unbearable this year. All the roses are stunted. Thanks again.
