Oh yeah Hilarious! your collection has grown quite a bit! I remember you had them in the carts last year but probably just half the number (and maybe size) of what you have now.

Are those 2 big ones closer to the walls, adeniums too? I have my first tall one, but I cheated and bought it big for a great price and it has grown taller since then. I just repotted it.

Yes they're adeniums and several have grown into plants that are now difficult to transport. Whistling

I really like my single stem adenium. It's a seedling that refused to branch so I chopped it's top off at around 2' tall which generated 4 branches. Now it looks like a lolly pop with a nice base.

How high is your new tall one?

@2ManyPlants, I have 2 seedlings that are 14 inches tall but just long stem with thickbase and no branching. I'll wait for them to bloom before deciding if I will prune the top. Do you have a picture of "Lollipop" Hilarious! ? Also do you have a picture of the 2 big tall adeniums in bloom?

This is my tallest one (corner), her name is "Luisadenia", she is tall, strong and have gorgeous bloom. I think she is a hybrid crispum. I just repotted her into this big plastic pot that is 12 inches tall and she is 32 inches tall.

We might be a few weeks behind the dormancy this year as the majority of my desert roses are just now developing buds and some have new leaf growths:

Last year, Oct 24, 2022 my desert roses were blooming but leaves were yellowing:

GigiAdeniumPlumeria said: This still has buds but now yellowing, most likely in response to last week's dip in temps to below 50's plus I withheld watering for a few days during cold snap:

And Mrs Rose was just lush and green now showing signs of going dormant.

We are back to high of 80s and lows mid 60s this week.

These are just a few, that I transferred here to get maximum sun exposure, since they are in bloom and this is the south facing side.

Beautiful blooms Gigi!

I'll try to find some pictures of my taller seed grown adeniums.
Tonight they are stacked away in an overcrowded sunroom while it's 37 degrees and raining.
It's been raining everyday for a week which is a blessing for Texas, but tough on cacti & succulents.

@2ManyPlants Lolli is gorgeous! I have been growing cuttings with the hope of making them look like Lolli. This inspires me to repot my tall single stems adeniums so they will look like Lolli! Here's one single stem cutting with nice canopy.

Nice collection of adeniums and other tropical 🏝 plants! I see more space! Hilarious!

I like the short well branch adeniums. Pruning them short helps a lot during winter storage. I think I waited too late to give them 💇 haircuts. Now I have to wait for spring since I don't want my desert roses to have tender stems winter time. They cause stem rot.

I agree about the risk of stem rot. I also believe that pruning during slower growth or dormancy could reduce branching.

I'm a little worried about stem rot from overcrowding my adeniums in a low light environment. Once they go dormant they don't need much light, but I've just brought them from full sun to dark while they still have leaves and flowers. Every day I make the rounds picking off semi rotting flowers and yellow leaves. I've got 2 ceiling fans running on high to keep the air moving.

I just started moving mine to the south facing side of my lanai. They still get the full sun but my hope is they will not get too wet when we have winter rain and if they do, they can dry out. I don't have as well draining mix as I would like too since I ran out of perlite and this summer was too hot to repot.

Now I'm busy picking off dead flowers, not so much yellow leaves yet, but picking off hungry oleander caterpillars; aphids and once in a while mealies Grumbling I'm thinking of buying an oleander plant just so the Oleander caterpillars will leave my adeniums alone. I've been picking them off and moving them to my pencil cactus tree.

Dormancy is around the corner for sure. I've noticed a few that are completely bald. They are in full sun so they get misted but not soaking wet.

We got a few days of rain and my desert roses enjoyed good soaking of liquid gold. So now they are confused, the majority have buds and are blooming. The next few days will be highs in the 80s and the lows in the mid-50s to mid-60s!

So I hope I don't get root rot or stem rots 🙏 or loose seedpods!
