I enjoy seeing this in my garden, especially elevated so that I can easily see the flowers and blue berries. Because this is a small bed, I have had to dig out some of the roots (tubers?) which can go quite deep and be very large (the thickness of a typical wrist). It spreads slowly, so I don't see the need to remove it. Other than that, it is really very easy to grow and maintain.
