Well frozen is the right word up here. Our hot water in the kitchen is frozen and it's down to 58 inside the sitting room. There are icicles in the kitchen on the inside & outside of the windows. Brrr!

WOW, that is cold Tiffany. We did let all faucets that faced outside walls drip all night and we did use the hot water faucets - just a tiny drip, 5 drips per minute they said on TV. We also kept the bathroom cabinets doors open so the heat from the room could get around the pipes. It was 28 outside this morning and our insulated (?) windows are dripping condensation.
I have not been outside but I can see the Abutalon Roseus looks perfect, the temp did not hurt that one at all. They seem to prefer the cooler weather and rarely bloom during the heat of summer. Perhaps I need more Abutalons, I don't go out much during the heat of the summer either.

Yes, there's no heat in there. It was dripping but I guess not enough. It's not supposed to get above freezing again today. If I'm remembering right, it's been about 9 yrs since the last day it didn't get above freezing. 2 days in a row is even more unusual.

Thank you, Gigi! I'm wearing several layers and it has warmed up to 60 in this room, with the heat. When I bake some bread & hens later, that should warm the kitchen but I don't know if it will thaw the pipe - or if the pipe will thaw cleanly or start spewing water from a break. No sign of leaking @ the moment.

Good! I will be sleeping at daytime winter time and cooking and baking all night if I live in your place

Alice that is hilarious, I thought I'd seen all the cold Florida jokes, but had not read that one. I've been baking cookies most the day, kind of nice to bake cookies and not sweat to death.

It is 45 here at half past 2pm, crazy...was 30 this morning for a few hours. Florida room with vinyl windows all closed all night was 55 this morning, so not too bad for the plants in there, orchids and aroids mostly. Outside plants look okay so far, although...tonight twice as long at the below freezing.

You are warmer than we are. 26 outside this morning. Our power was out for a bit last night, just a few hours, the house never got cold. Hope Santa could find all the chimneys in the dark.

You are all colder than we are up in the Pacific Northwest Mountain coastal range we are 41 degrees…a heat wave for us in winter. However half the state was shut down due to ice rain and snow the last few days.

We have a thick layer of snow just fine for Yankee - horse, to have a good roll in the snow. He is center of pic laying sideways behind the garden squished plants.

It ain't cold as it used to be, i lost my DL fer DWI back in the late 70's early 80's.....i had to walk to work fer 3 or 4 years. Sum mornin's it wus in the low 20's .....it used to git cold around here.

Phil I hope it doesn't get any more freezing cold than this. We just left Busch Gardens and we were freezing! Thank goodness for the warm indoor shows, we enjoyed the serenade of Celtics and the Christmas Ice Show and the food. We didn't do any outside activities it was super cold 🥶 🥶🥶

I love Busch Gardens Miss Gigi, my son an his family an me were gonna go.....but they had that mask mandate an we said.....nope.....ain't gonna do it.

No more mask mandate. We were there Thanksgiving hubby purchased their online promo on their annual passes (only hubby got the gold because of free parking and discounts) and got us the fun cards. He also advanced purchased "all day dining" since they are discounted online too. It is worth it if we stay for more than 5 hours and we needed to eat.

This is an affordable entertainment for us because we now have passes that we used since Thanksgiving through end of this year and it is good through end of next year 2023. They will most likely have Christmas town through first week of January so that is our New Year celebration too. No cooking just having fun. The line for food is long though and that is the only annoying part but worth it.

Yikes! Here we are worried about the plants freezing and in other States people are freezing to death some trapped in their car. 🙏May they RIP🙏
