Belgum hybridizers Dace and Paul Van Mechelen have their 2023 website updated. They have 3 new diploid cristates and a very cool pattern, Venuscorner Piece of Art. Venuscorner One Moment in Time, an ivory tet with a huge yellow edge also looks very nice.

Still no 2023 update to the Holdn' Heaven Daylily Garden website though
One day I am hoping to see those yellow-leaved daylilies listed there . I wonder if they will also have yellow scapes and buds? That would be cool.

I agree! Brent's Buffalo Blizzard has been on the want list for a long time. The general listing takes some time to go through but it's worth it for all the great ones you can find there.

I don't think I have ever personally listed my website when it's updated on NGA. It just feels wrong as moderator to be self promoting that way. We'll see. I can tell you I have been stuck on finding a name for one new intro and may have finally figured it out. So it'll be a bit longer before the website is updated.

The yellow/green variegated sdlgs looked good going into winter. I kept 3 older variegated sdlgs and have 3 rows of newer ones to look at next year. I think all the solid yellows returned green this spring or died that were in the image I posted of the sdlg trays. Need to check notes to be sure. The newer group had some yellows too. What I should do is line out the variegated mama plant and think of a name.

Char - You hybridize Sculpted daylilies, correct? I would love to see photos of your website intros, so I hope you will post your website link as well.

Just an update for Orion, I checked the map with the newest vari sdlgs. There were 23 green, 15 vari and 3 yellow as of Oct. I pulled all the green ones giving the other 18 more room to grow next year.

Char - Is there a thread on the daylily forum about the chimera leaf mutation? That's interesting that you have 18 seedlings with the mutation!

Becky, yes those 18 are from a repeat of the cross that's shown in this post of the sdlgs from the first cross in the trays.

I'm so excited - when I saw that Bill Waldrop of Kennesaw Mountain Daylilies had posted his new 2023 intros I checked it out, then called Bill directly, and I was able to order a SF of his new striped intro SUNBERRY SPLATTER - it's absolutely gorgeous!

Bill says it's on the tender side, but it sure sounds perfect for Bakersfield!
