This may be taking it too far with grammar-checking, but today's inspiration reads "the garden loses it's ecstasy" when it should read "the garden loses its ecstasy". Grin

it's = contraction of "it is"
its = possessive form of "it"

People seem to regularly mix them up.

The other common one is using an apostrophe when making the plural of an acronym or an abbreviation, such as "DVD's" or the abomination that is "photo's". D'Oh!

True, but nothing beats how many times "you're" and "your" are mistaken! Someone online even told me "your so dumb" once. D'Oh! D'Oh!

"Should of" vs. "Should have" (or just "of" vs. "have" in general) also get mixed up a lot.

Ah, well thanks for letting me know. I guess that does make sense, because I really do see a lot of people mixing up "its" and "it's". Its really quite concerning (yeah, ok, that was a bad joke).
