@gwhizz Anthony .How old are your bulbs? I'm in the midst of doing the division of offsets from the mother bulb, mainly because the grow bags get torn and shredded with a minor pull: they need replacement. An improvement of the soil will also help for sure.

I have actually enjoyed taking OTs and backcrossing to some trumpets, resulting in a more trumpet-type form, but adding some color.

Thanks Luka. One of many reasons to make crosses and share seed. When the voles have eaten your seedlings, there is someone else out there to show you what you've done (and what you've missed).

True. For example I lost all of trumpet hybrids I made 2y ago. Majority didn't even germinate...but, I sent all of them to NALS. Now I cannot wait till some1 flower them.
