I've been meaning to post this for a week or two now. These bloomed for the first time this year, they're from the DG daffodil swap 1.5 yrs ago? Can't remember their names, but SO cute! Small blooms, grouped in multiples on a stem, with a great fragrance.

Thanks, whoever put them in the swap! And Thanks Neal for doing it!

That one is 'Pipit'- I put those in the swap, glad you're enjoying them! Kelly, didn't you send some white doubles for the swap? I've got some blooming I thought were from you, and they have pinkish cup segments- really lovely!

Bev, have you tried 'Hillstar'? I read that it came from the same cross as 'Pipit'. It's wonderful too, a little stronger yellow and a bit larger, sturdier bloom, but otherwise similar, and with that wonderful fragrance.

I Love the fragrance!! Thank you Neal!

Yes I sent a lot of white doubles. I think most of them should have been all white, but I do have some that are pinkish in the center. They've grown a bit jumbled and the 'snowbirds', which are the all white doulbes, have pretty much taken over. I'll have to look and see what the name of the ones with pink were. I'm sorry if those were from me they were probably mis-labeled as snowbird.. didn't realize I still had any!

I don't have Hillstar yet, Neal but would never rule a beauty like that out, ya know. I have eyed it in the B&B catalog for a bit. Perhaps it'll be on sale at the end of the season. I suppose the good thing about ordering small quantities of each is that I can wait. With the way our seasons work here I can get them in and still get blooms in the spring.
B&B has been great about getting the right varieties to me even if they are sale items. A co-op a few years ago netted me Tahiti instead of what ever else that was supposed to be...White Lion, I think. Blooming all over like mad, but not what I wanted.

Kelly, there are some white ones in there too, I'd bet the pinks had stopped blooming (perhaps they had gotten crowded) and started again once separated. It was a most pleasant surprise- I love them!

Bev, I got 'Hillstar' from Bleek for a great price. I've had good luck with proper labeling from Bleek as far as Daffs go, but did get some mislabeled tulips.

Kind of difficult to plan when they are mislabelded. I bought some of my tulips from him, some others locally. I think my fav this year is a red "Pretty Woman". My dd wanted red tulips. These are red lily flowered beauties. I haven't taken a picture but here is a link to one.

These are some I bought at a local nursery, not online. The color and form are making me happy, though.
