Positive thoughts and lots of love coming your way, Elsa! Thanks for all the pictures.

GreenIris said: Hi Laurie: Thanks for the comments on the seedlings. I really do like to get others perspectives. I had never really looked at the beard color on the one seedling and how it is played out on the falls, so thank you for the observation. And the light blue seedling was probably about 34". But in most gardens, it would probably be taller. It is definitely a Tall Bearded.

Hi Barbara: Thank you so much. My health problems are still up in the air. But I will know more in early January I believe. I really appreciate the prayers and I would appreciate any more anyone wants to send my way, until I find out one way or the other what is going on.

Here is another of my Sky and Sun X Butterfly Affair seedlings. This also was a 1st year bloom. I love the light blue coloring as well as the green on the shoulders. I am hoping this is a good grower cause this is something I would like to introduce if it is.

TB Iris Autumn Circus - My second best rebloomer though I had no rebloomers this year due to a very hot summer
Thumb of 2023-12-23/GreenIris/ef3acd

TB Iris Hot Dogs And Mustard - I have never tired of all the variety of blooms this Iris provides for me

TB seedling Temporal Anomaly X Unk - One of my Bee Pod seedlings that I am really crazy about.

TB Iris One Bad Mama - The gold on this just shimmers as if it really were gold. It is so beautiful against the maroon backdrop. Big fan of this one.

BB Iris Desert Legacy: Ok - I know...Ugly picture, but the point here is I dug it up and moved it in late fall and it still tried it's best to bloom in the Spring.

TB Count On Rosalyn: Very pretty blooms this year.

TB Super Duper - Not a fan of this one, this first year. The florescent streaks on this are pretty but I don't find much else interesting about it.

TB Dewuc Whatic - I will never stop loving the color on this one. Nor will I ever stop loving the big breaks. And it is such a reliant performer as well...And FINALLY I have seeds from it with Margaritaville. Not sure exactly what the heck I was thinking with that cross...But anything Dewuc Whatic-like would leave me overjoyed. I have probably tried to cross DeWuc Whatic since 2017 but I never had success with any seed pod forming. So my point is here...if you really love a particular Iris and are dabbing in the hybridizing..Don't give up too soon. Maybe Dewuc Whatic has a taste for Margarita's like me Hilarious!

Noid TB that is the best smelling Iris I have. And it's beautiful and a wonderful bloomer as well.

TB Hawaiian Memories: Lighter colors on blooms this year than previous years but I loved these colors as well. Look at the blend of orchid and pink on the falls - Scrumptious.

TB Coral Chalice: This is a toughie (can put up with bad conditions) and has great big blooms.

TB Livy: Kent did very well with this one - yes? The color is spectacular. It took two years to bloom but bloomed very heavy for me this year.

SDB Peach Medley - So I heard that Paul Black is working on late blooming SDB's and I have seen that late bloom on several of them. This bloomed in what I would say is Mid-Late even for my TB's and did just great in the heat. I looked this one up and it was not classified as late blooming but it sure fit the bill. The color is so awesome too. Love it love it love it.
Here is a peachier version

I'm sure that there are irises blooming somewhere??? Better hurry and post them, we'll need to start the 24 season soon enough. Hilarious!

Arturo, congrats on getting your first pictures posted. Please also post your roses here, too, when they begin blooming. I know we have all wanted to see them for years, even if this is the irises forum. I'd hate to miss them just because I didn't think to look on the roses forum for them!

My goal is to have all my 2023 Season posted by 12/31/23...Just a little behind this year. Hey Tom, I was up in your neck of the woods for training in Madison, close to Thanksgiving, and then again the week before Christmas. Have to say...Your weather and temperatures were not too far off from what we were having in Southern New Mexico Hilarious!
The locals were quick to point out to us that they were experiencing highly unusual moderate temps. My coworkers and I; from places like Arizona, New Mexico and California were showing up in in these heavy Ski Jackets and Parka's and can't say we really needed them. Well it has to be a nice break from your below 0 temps...While it lasts.
If you think there is no more beauty left in the world...Plant a garden!!!
