Lovely Rita!
These hot lips salvia are from a co-op this year. Very pleased with them since they weren't in great shape when they arrived. I am hoping for seeds, if not in they come to try and over winter them in the basement.
Ronnie the one I bought bloomed solid red at first.. now getting strange color forms of white in there.. still looking sad .. was going to bring it in.. but not so sure now

Jen if you take a piece of banana I bet he will come get it out of your hands. Love the butterfly!!
Ronnie that color is scrumptious!!
Rita I still have DL's blooming too...'Laura Harwood", "Cradle of Bethlehem", "Northern Giant", and a few others.
While I was in my daylily crazies and buying years I bought a lot of late and extra late bloomers. In fact I had to research and really look to find what I wanted as I definatly wanted my daylily bloom season to go as long as possible. That meant lates and extra lates were the way to go.
On the butterfly caterpillers I have lots of both butterfly weed and milkweed here but I never notice any caterpillars.
I have a LOT of Ollalie Daylilies. Not the fanciest flowers but really nice to have those late and extra late blooms when the regular season ones are done for.
