Very nice! Jo, I exercised every day this winter....Nicki & I walked 2 miles a day...however, those are not the gardening muscles....I, too, am achy all over!
Being younger doesn't make the start up good.. but I would assume worse later on.. I was sore after last Sunday as well .. what is the first one JoAnn?
I still love the bear even though our town now has one of their own....our HS teams are the Golden Bears, & last fall, a life-sized carved one was added to the grounds....love that dark hellebore....Max is a cutie, too!
The Bear will be relocated as soon as the lilies are up enough to see where to put a flat stone for a pedestal.
The tree stump is collapsing due to rot so the Bear leans.
New spot will be near the old one.
Corydalis comes up wild in my gardens....I let some of it stay, but yank the rest out....mine are not the hybrids...just the common variety....I love the hybrids! Wherever the bear ends up, he'll look great!
Lots of Crocus now, there are actually a lot more left than I originally thought! Also my earliest Daffodil
Narcissus 'Rijnveldās Early Sensation' is blooming.
Some gorgeous looking daffs there, Jo! I especially like Rip Van Winkle......Tried to put photos of my hellebores on this site...no luck....need my DIL's help!
Crocus have finished. Daffodils in front of our stone wall are better than last year. Our first bearded iris as small species (I. pumila) bloomed today 'Wild Whispers'. it didn't bloom last year.
Lucy : I have discovered that also. I have plants appearing I thought were done for.
Daffs seem to have multiplied and a oriental poppy that withered in last summers drought ,is putting up a decent bunch of leaves.
Here is what's blooming now:
Redbud second year since planting and blooming like crazy.
Corydalis is popping
I think this is White Medal double daff. It's part of a mix.
RobinD: I was just out looking at the epimediums and the one you gave me 8 years ago is just starting another season.
I thought of you,It always performa.
Thanks

Where can you buy Iris pumila? I did a google search and came up empty!
