Snow drops may be in bloom. but they are either under snow or matted leaves so can't tell.

My snow drops are still under the snow......I checked the pussy willow behind the dam yesterday....I think it's dead....however, coming home, there was one with buds just below my house....never noticed it before! I remember when I was a kid, we'd color the buds with colored chalk & put them in a vase.....

That's neat .. I always wondered if you put a tight budded one in food coloring.. if it would soak in .. once it gets bigger.. I will play

My snowdrops are really out....first year I've had them....pretty little bulbs, will plant more this fall......

We put them in a bad spot in the last house.. always missed them .. but they are cute

My crocus foliage is up...no flowers, though....crocus don't do very well for me......

The golden ones and Blue Pearl are in bloom. It's a lovely end of February treat.

We can all welcome March tomorrow even if we get the expected rain.

Here's my one and only crocus...I bought a few bulbs from Williamsburg VA a few years ago and this is all I got from them. I do love it and hope one day it spreads

You are WAY ahead of us...my white hellebore is almost out, the rest are just budded....my friend's reticulated iris bloomed today...mine are still waiting......Love the saturated yellow on that crocus.....

I've never had this much this time of year before...there are even a few sprouts in my milk jugs outside...that's a first for me. Hopefully with the return of winter tomorrow and Saturday everything will still be okay.

An article in this morning's paper said the peach & plum growers in CT are very worried about the crops again....last year, all stone fruits were lost in CT, & the apples were pretty awful, too.

The off & on temperature threatens them again. A few snowdrops are in blown as well as Iris reticuata 'Eyecatcher'. It is white, lined purple. sorry I don't have a photo. Katharin Hodgkin is in another bed so blooms a week later.

No reticulateds up yet....good thing....going to single digits tonight & tomorrow night....worry about my hellebore that's almost open!
