Hiyamakki, your Julia Rose is beautiful! Glad you cut one to bring inside.

Thanks so much for those photos, Shelby. That looks gorgeous! That is interesting about comparing Bartzella to YeDo. How old is your YeDo?

Here is Love Affair.

It looks great Hiyamakki! It is difficult to capture the coppery color of it.

It's time to play "Who is that mislabled peony?"!

I planted three intersectionals in this bed: Cora Louise, Morning Lilac & Lemon Dream. Is is none of those. Any guesses to its true identity? Im going to say it is not Julia Rose. I have one and the foliage is quite different.

My YeDo is a first year bloom from a pretty large Peony Shop root. It gave me 3 blooms, all of which had similar petal counts. I hope it is more double next year.

Did anyone else buy the cheap Tulip World Srumdiddlyumptious peony a few years ago? I can't recall if this is year two or three but it gave me two blooms this year. The color seems appropriate to be Srumdiddlyumptious but it is definitely not a full double mature bloom yet. I'm hoping it turns out to be the real thing!

Hiyamakki, yours could be Takara. Not for sure, as it can change colors from year to year.

Here is my Takara

Shelby, that has been my complaint about YeDo. Not as double as everyone else's.

Yes, several of us bought those TW Scrums. The first two they sent me were Coral charms !
They did replace them with Itohs, one died and the other has never bloomed.
Yours is pretty; hopefully it will bloom double.

Shelby, your Scrum looks a lot like my Caroline Constabel. I've been very disappointed in CC (I have 2). Photo was taken in Yr 1. The blooms have been straggly looking on both plants. One had thrips so I'm hoping they're gone this yr. It is Monrovia plant.

My Scrumdiddlyumptious in 3rd yr. It's flares aren't as prominent as yours & mine hasn't bloomed full double (yet). Maybe this yr...

And yes, CC. Can throw some weird looking blooms!

It could be Takara. Out of my pinkish Itoh's it is not Kieko, Julia Rose, or Sonoma Amethyst. I've also seen Singing in the Rain recently and don't think it is that.

Here is my Takara. Blooms are 6-8 inches generally.

Wow it does look a lot like CC! I'll have to keep that in mind for next year.

Teri, thanks for the pic of your Scrum!

My Scrum turned out to be a herbaceous peony. I thought it was when I got and sure enough, not an ITOH.
It looks like a nice ITOH though for those that received what looks to be correct. My NOID. I gave away last year, it was a white unscented semi double.

Oh Mieko, checked on my Caroline Constabel last night & one of the blooms had to be pinched off due to the thrips. Do you think I should give up & throw out the plant? It's almost under a stewartia tree but I had the tree's branches cut back hoping it woud help. I'm sad as CC is full of blooms.

Shelby, your Takara is beautiful! My Scrum is happy in sunniest location of my backyard. I started counting it's buds & at 40 I gave up! Must be over 50 blooms!

Thanks for the suggestions Greg & LG. Honestly, it could be either! I wish I was better about keeping track of what I planted where. I don't even know who to contact about the mislabel because I don't know what it should have been!

This is how it looks faded and after a day of rain!

Teri, I would not throw away CC because she has thrips. Google "thrips on peonies". It seems you really have to get to them early, but there is no reason to throw away the plant! I'm excited that you have so many buds on it!!

Tracey, I guess we learned the lesson that we all heard growing up. If something sounds to good to be true it probably isn't.

Yes, Hiyamakki, it really could be either one. Hopefully next year it will be more clear. My Pastel Splendor is shorter than my Takara, so that may help.

I am currently playing, "guess who??" I moved 20 peonies last fall to a new bed, but my Google doc went corrupted and I can't seem to retrieve the info and who is who. D'Oh! I'll have to dig around the roots in the fall to make sure I got the names right.

Helen- Wish my Kopper Kettle looked as nice as yours. I paid a pretty price for it & it's never bloomed copper, just yellow with red streaks. I've moved it twice in Seattle & twice up at the farm but still unhappy w/color plus it puts out very few blooms. Now if I buy a potted plant it has to be in bloom.

I purchased New Millenium in flower & it's the only blooming potted plant I've planted that hasn't bloomed the following yr. This is it's 2nd yr & still no bloom. Has anyone else had issues w/New Millenium?

What a cheerful set of ITOH blooms, Helen.

Teri, New Millennium does well here. So if I recall it took a year or two to settle in to become consistently blooming.
