It does look a lot like that. I doubt that I can find any to confirm it though, but thanks for the information. Smiling

I went out before sunset to take more pictures because there was T storms in the forecast. We need the rain, but it passed us by so far, but here are the pictures of more of the blooms. I now have TB stalks showing, and I'm just beginning my season of the little ones.

Thumb of 2023-05-07/tveguy3/ef4e72
Pippi Longstocking, one I've had a very long time, a cutie, and an excellent grower. Shows more yellow if photographed in the sun.
Thumb of 2023-05-07/tveguy3/0085c6
Burano, a gift from Dirt, another very good grower here.

Some of these will look better today as they will have relaxed some and finished opening, but as I said, I was concerned about the weather. The petals are falling from the cherry tree, that would be the white dots in some of the pictures.

A few more pictures from today. It's really hot and dry, some that opened yesterday are wilting already.

The cherry tree is a Montmorency, and yes it's a tart cherry to eat, not tree a for decoration.
Thumb of 2023-05-07/tveguy3/90208d
The Pear tree is a Dwarf Seckel Pear. I got it because it doesn't need another pear tree for pollination. I don't need two trees full of pears, I'd never be able to use them. It's a very smooth and sweet pear, great for fresh eating, not so good for canning. They turn very mushy when canned.
Great when poached in wine though. Sticking tongue out

I never have to spray it, it's really resistant to disease and insects.

That was a pic of last year's pie, it's long gone. I hadn't deleted the picture yet. Hilarious!
