Thanks Hetty! I like them simply for the fact they look cool even when not in bloom, right?

Much appreciated Greg! Smiling
Here is my moving inside post regarding "my plants other than orchids", although that link doesn't show the top shelf in the greenhouse against the house wall, housing now most of the Pachys and Adeniums etc. I wasn't totally finished moving inside yet when I took these shots. Still have all Epipyllum hybrids outside, they will go into the garage when frost arrives. So you can see how keep them during the indoor season.

Wow, these are a whole group/bunch of plants that are completely foreign to me. Educational and beautiful in their unusual way. Most people would probably think these plants were dead at times. Looks like they provide a lot of action, unlike more mainstream house plants. Great plants and pics of them! I think the wildest part is that you're in NJ, not CA or AZ, really very cool.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

Greg, it's all in the organization, right? Each plant has its spot when everything is said and done.

Absolutely lovely! Caudiciforms are so cool. I've just started my collection and they're some of my favorites.

Gorgeous collection. I lost my favorite caudiciform (or fat plant), a Jatropha Cathartica, a couple of years ago when I left it out in the rain. Haven't been able to find one for a reasonable price since (sigh).

Kim, it is a beauty!. Hopefully you can replace it. I just looked on-line, someone sells seeds of this one on eBay.

Thanks for the tip Ursula but, unfortunately, I never seem to have luck with seeds; too impatient, I guess.

And then it takes so long to grow a tiny seedling to something substantial, I totally understand.

Ursula did you grow any of your fat plants from seed?

No, not any of those I posted here. I managed to find small plants here and there. A couple were gifts.

The only fat plants I've seen around are adenium obesums. I rescued one from walmart. I ordered caudiform seed so I could have more varietys.

Fun thread thanks for keeping it goin or I'd have missed it...

I've always wanted some fatties too...but adeniums are all I've found...and they don't suit me much...
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Ursula, I salivate over your caudiciform collection! Not only are they all so healthy but certainly worth a fortune as well. Brava!!!
