An old bitone seedling FFO kept because I like this flower.
Unknown parentage.
Usually a spring bloomer but part of a bed redo early this year.
The phone camera wants to overexpose & wash out the green throat😠

Ed, the edge on I-525 is really cool! I like all the tight ruffles with tiny teeth.

Second year blooming seedling FFO yesterday. From LA seeds: C290-1 (Carolina Scorcher x Dream State) x C137-1 (Emerald Starburst x Pink Stripes). My seedling number C2XC1214:

Definitely a slow-recurver.

I like it because it has very very light-green bracts - they really stand out among other scapes:

Here are a few seedling under consideration for me. I'm a new hybridizer and it's just a hobby. But I enjoy watching the genetics.

This is the only thing I kept from the 2018 seedlings, I dug them all up in a fit of "bad branching" in their second bloom season. This one didn't have great branching till this year. In my digging fit I lost the tag but I know it's an Exotic Starfish kid.

This one is large, at least 7 inches, and tall. It's aggressively broken patterned even in 90 degrees.





Sadly, this one either died or didn't bloom this year. Pic is first year bloom.

I was very late planting the 2022s last fall so they have just started blooming. So far I've wanted to rip everyone that has bloomed up to this one!! Very excited, very blue eye and the branching is to die for.

GSXPFG223, FFE. 3rd in the series.
This one is weak and small. So that is probably why the color is washed out. But 3 for 3 being color-broken is still pretty lucky.

Here is the size comparison relative to the sibling GSXPFG221. 223 (germinated 2-2-23) is in the red box, and I had to trim 221 (germinated 14-11-22) leaves to give it more light.

Might have to bring that 223 in for winter

PPXPS212, second year blooming. FFO. Pink with stripes and a watermark. Not a favorite plant. But the bloom is bigger this year, albeit still meh.
