Hi all-

The forecast is 70% chance of rain this Saturday and 60% on Sunday. I think it's supposed to rain all day on Saturday.

We don't have the capability to move the gathering indoors. Do we want to reschedule for the next Saturday 9/30? All ideas welcome.

Where did that rain come from?? Gak. I looked at the beginning of the week, and it looked lovely. I'm fine with Saturday 9/30.

The 30th Saturday our community is having a party, but I still can go to the swap. I did not volunteer to do anything--I put in the Lambs Ears on the list; I will put also some hosta, I do not think I have extra the Wlliams but some other ones that I do not have the names of. How do I indicate that that hosta is NOT available?

Francine, if you don't click on the check mark next to the entry on your trade list, the item will not appear on the trade list for the swap. If the check mark is green, click on it so it turns grey, and the item will be removed from the swap list.

Robin, I just looked at the top post, and Rick added a note that the date has been changed... so he and Sue must have touched base.

Jill, with no plant party on Saturday, what will you do now??

I'm goin' to the Fair! I went Sunday, and Tuesday, and Joyanna went with her ag science class yesterday, and we'd already planned to go tomorrow...

Hope you all have a great time!! Group hug I'll be down with my dad on the 30th.
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

Does anybody want a Rose of Sharon? NOT sterile, but pretty. If unwanted, it will be chopped rather than dug up. (I'm trying to only list things that are actually ready to go.)

Hilarious! David and I seem to have differing opinions on that lovely shrub. I find them to be beautiful. His hands are itching to yank out all he sees.

Yeah, I resisted the impulse to put it into a pretty container and drop it on your doorstep...

They do drop seeds around, but at least I don't find "volunteers" all over the yard as with mimosa or alianthus (the mis-named "Tree of Heaven"). This one is about 25 feet from those along my neighbor's fence, and that's the farthest I've ever had one show up.

Bonnie was working last weekend, but now that the plant swap has been rescheduled for this upcoming Saturday she will be able to come with me. Mike had such a nice time at the swap here in the spring that he would like to come too if he can. His work is so weather dependent that he may have to catch up over the weekend from all the days being missed recently.

I'll bring my usual deviled eggs and I think Bonnie said she will bring a broccoli salad.

Well, folks, I can come to swap after all. Don't know what to bring . I have a few houseplant type things.
A seedling date palm
Queen's Tears- small division
Swedish ivy babies
Begonia Sophie rooting canes
Canna indica tubers
And anything I've previously ripped from my yard would be easy to do today. Shrug!
Plant it and they will come.
