Today is our National Trail of Tears Commemoration Day.

Yesterday @LittleAnnie was surprised there was a National Doodle Day. Well, one of today's occasions is National Sew a Jelly Roll Day. I would bet that all of us have doodled if we've been holding a pen, pencil, crayon, or paintbrush while we're waiting for something, but I don't think I've never known anyone who has sewn a jelly roll.

Edit: Never mind. I just learned that "jelly rolls" are quilting remnants, so Calif_Sue probably does it all the time.

Never sewed a jelly roll, but, I have to confess I've pen-doodled.

I have used them on occasion, not often as I like to cut my own pieces. They come in a pack of 42 cuts, each 2.5" wide by width of fabric (44-45") and quilters have created all kinds of patterns to utilize these cuts.

Porkpal, you're amazing at one liners. I was imagining people trying to figure out a way to get needle and thread through a jelly roll. So disappointed.
