I am very thankful for the much needed rain and a hot bowl of delicious soup to go along with it.

I'm thankful that my golf is improving. I only took up the game when I retired at 58.

In my thirties and forties, I played squash for a team in the North West Counties Leagues. My kids banned me from going back to the game when I gave up work. They said "Buy some golf clubs" and so I did.

We have weekly golf competitions at my club and I'd not won anything for two years. But in the last four weeks, I've had two consecutive second places, in Stableford competitions, (same scores as the winners), but they had better back nines than I, (it's the way it works).
Last week it was "Medal" (every shot counts) and I won by four shots!
I confess I'm only in the third division, but my gross score was as good as the winners in the division above me.
I've now a total of £85 prize money credit in the pro shop. Not that there's anything I need at the moment.

I guess I'm lucky to be still playing, as I'm 84 at the end of the month.

I'm thankful my husband is also enjoying golf and has a new group of friends because of it.

That's great! Keeps you active and getting moving! I'm thankful of the little joys that gardening can't bring. They say money can't buy happiness but they can buy plants that brings me happiness !

Thankful for a warmish day to get out and do our (my dog and myself) daily walk. I am glad to get it done and be home as I did not want to be out walkung during todays Solar Eclipse .

Actually, I'm kind of thankful for the nice lady at the... whatever you want to call it, shop. There's a sort of "witchy" shop in town. They sell all kinds of spiritual things which I'm not into. But they also make their own limited ingredient care products and that's what I go for. I went to get more soap today. The lady gifted me a crystal she said was for stress and anxiety and is meant to promote calmness. (I'm a very stressy person.) I don't believe in that kind of stuff, but it was a kind gesture.

Thankful I didn't miss a desert rose seedpod of Rainbow Diamond that just started to split this morning. If I waited to check in the afternoon, all seeds would have floated away!

I am thankful that I did not go out for an exercise walk later this aternoon as it started raining. I hate to walk in the rain and the computer weather claims no rain for this adternoon. Wrong!!
