Light Freeze is coming in tomorrow. We'll see what survives into Nov. A few nice blooms for this last day. Cold drizzle when I went out.

I could not catch the neon green throat on the photo. It screams across the garden. I did stats, 40" tall, at least 40 buds, 5/6 way branching, early season, late rebloom. I hope Subhana registers it.

It was a great day for their last day. Tomorrow I have to cut scapes and bring them in as we'll have two consecutive nights of hitting 27 degrees.

Voila Francois, only 3 buds left, this one managed to almost finish!

I'm so sad to see the season really ending. I've enjoyed the extended season so much. When things start up in May it all ramps up so fast, you don't get to really enjoy changes in each bloom, just the really loud ones. In the fall, with only 20ish blooming everyday it's much easier to keep up with.

I guess it depends on how long it stays 28 degrees, Dave. We hit that low a few days ago, but it didn't stay that cold for very long. The few scapes I still had survived it. I didn't cut them and bring them in until the forecast was for the lower 20's. We were supposed to bottom out in the teens tonight, but they've upped the estimate back to the lower 20's again.

Ok, I think I'm going to risk it. It's going to be 29 for a nanosecond tomorrow night then the temps are bouncing back up for no freezing temperatures in the 10 day forecast. I am determined to post on the November thread!

I discovered that the last bud on Larry's Twilight Bite opened Oct 31. It put on a nice costume for Halloween!
