BRRRRR! Not looking forward to that. Just once I wish there was no snow and cold for the winter months.

Tigerpaws, you have the winters on me although we get plenty, I do not like the winter either, but the south of the USA is worse for bugs, snakes, heat and alligators and today not safe at all. Happy to be in Montana. I showed my horse the last 2 years I showed up in Alberta, 2015-2016, had many good times and friends, I always enjoyed my visits with Canadians and miss the trips I took.
This is Logan, Broadways Last Knight, in Red Deer, Ab winning the open 5-gaited Saddlebred class where he also won the Championship, great times and memories.

Logan is a real beauty, obviously loves to perform. Head held high as well as the tail, loves to prance. Do you still have Logan?

tigerpaws: Sadly, no, he has passed on. He was my last show horse, I made 75 this year and after 60+ years of horses it is over, that is that.

sorry, Google Lens, I've grown spinach and this seedling is not it.
Google Lens compares pictures, might also use location, and can be right or wrong. I take any app suggestions and confirm them against images of the named plant from other sources.
Plant it and they will come.

@ECHOooooo, please do not use Google lens to ID a plant and then not compare it to actual plant database photos as Sally mentioned.

To be fair, we are seeking a consensus from a few independent sources, because one live person can be wrong as well.
Sometimes here, we'll just add 'likes' to the opinion we agree with, in lieu of repeated posts with the same plant name.

I don't know which amazes me more- the computer generated IDs that can get it right quite often, or the human brains that can also recognize many plants without being able to verbalize what makes it 'that plant.' It's sort of like face recognition.
Plant it and they will come.

Definitely a Forget-Me-Not. On the topic of confused plants, my lilacs lost all their leaves in August - yesterday I saw that one of the common, old-fashioned bushes is blooming a second time, with very small clumps of flowers and barely any fragrance, and several are showing new buds. Not good. I hope they survive the upstate NY winter.

My Holly bushes have flower buds, flowers, tiny green berries, big green berries and fully ripe red berries all at the same time.
Why are plants acting freaky> (I'm Zone 6a "upstate" NY)
I appreciate your knowledge and opinions.

I saw a show on this place recently, reading up on the use of this technology is not reassuring. Sometimes I think the science community may be getting too big for it's britches, but I may be wrong.

So, my mystery plant is changing color to a pinkish brown under the grow light. It seems happy though.

A lot of people saying this seedling is a forget-me-not but I really do not think so. It sure doesn't look like the FMN's I have popping up all over the garden (selfseeded).

I've never seen that on FMN, but never put one under a grow light either.
Wondering about Oenothera fruticosa.
Is your seedling fuzzy at all or completely smooth?
Plant it and they will come.
