I'm certainly no expert, but it looks very unique to me. I really love everything about it!

LALAMBCHOP said:It's beautiful. Do they grow in shade and are they perennial?

They will grow in the shade but will not make as many flowers. Ipomoea nil and Ipomoea purpurea, two of the most commonly grown morning glories, are annuals.

So what color would you call it?
It certainly is unusual.
If you grow a new plant do you get to name a new color?
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

I call it an accurate capture of the color. It's definitely not blue.

Wow! That is beautiful! I have found that upon occasion that if I set my digital camera to flash, but don't use the flash, that it will see the rich purples. Unfortunately doesn't work all the time, but usually in early morning light.

I'm saving my money up for a super duper digital SLR and it better see purple!!!! If anyone has any recommendations please speak up.

Beautiful! Reminds me of the F1 Kikyo X Fuji. I have to wonder which is more dominant, stripes or spots .. I'm leaning toward stripes because the Kikyo Fuji was the 2nd cross in which a solid crossed with a spotted made stripes.

That's a pretty one. I haven't a clue about trait dominance in Ipomoea, X, I wish I could help.

I finally took time to look through more of the MG threads. They are all wonderful, Joseph, but that leaden blue with the white throat is spectacular!
