Ronnie, it seems like every thread I visit eventually gets around to talking about dogs! It's just so hard to stay on topic when so many of us have dogs that we love so much! I have two and so does Shannon. We have Bailey the Lab and Maggie the Golden Retriever. My sister has a Great Dane, and my husband grew up with one. They are such great dogs!

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Ronnie!!!

Shannon, I'm with you on figuring out where to put them. Pretty much anywhere and I'll be happy! I'm thinking of putting the trellis up on the side of the shop so that I can see them from the house. Mark is hopefully going to put a pergola of some sort up over the back deck, and I thought it would be gorgeous to cover it with them. He was in love with the Jackmanii Clematis that we left behind at our last house, so I'm hoping to find some blues and purples that would look great. I'm not sure about a clematis there, even though it was his favorite plant in the yard. I'd like one of those over an arch instead.

Ronnie, here is our Lab going for her first boat ride down the river this morning. She is getting more cute every year! Now if she would just calm down a bit, I'd be a lot happier!

Hurray! Ronnie Hurray!

Natalie I have some grape vines that are growing wild and I am thinking of putting red , white & blue MG's on them. I want to keep them for the
birds and this way they will look pretty . Don't forget to plant Moonflower's I had these in Va and they light up the whole yard and the moths
love them. I think I'm going to need a bunch of wooden ladders Whistling

Bailey looks so happy on the boat :)

Love Bailey on the boat! Danes like the water but aren't good swimmers, just like to romp. My late Dane Atticus used to play under the sprinkler and so does his predecessor Winston!

Natalie and Shannon shoot me a message and I'll hook you up with some seeds for next season!

Ronnie, that is so nice of you!! I didn't know that Danes aren't good swimmers. Maggie has refused to swim until now. She always acted like she didn't want to get her hair messy. Rolling on the floor laughing She's such a girl! In her old age though, she doesn't seem to care, and is really enjoying the water now Our last Golden loved the water so much that he'd swim until he would almost drown! Bailey loves the water and can't figure out why Maggie doesn't love it as much as she does. Here are a couple more videos. Sorry, I'm obsessed with the dogs!

Shannon, I have been looking for the perfect spot for a red, white and blue garden. I did that with MG's a couple of years ago, and loved it! I wished that I had mixed them together a little more, which would have looked better! A friend grows Moonflowers, and offered me seeds every year, but I never had room for them. I'll have her send some, since I have plenty of room now. I hate moths, so I'll be happy to plant something away from the deck to distract them! Hilarious! I think the blue MG that I planted was Flying Saucers, and they were really nice. Nothing fancy, but they had good color. I love blue flowers! It's so hard to come up with a good blue flower for a red, white and blue garden. MG's seem to work perfectly for that! I love your idea of growing them on the grape vine!

This one is hard to capture with my point and shoot camera. It is rich navy blue without purple undertones.
