Anyone can add missing plants to the database (and I see you have done so). Go to the Plant Database main page and click the " Add a new plant to the database.
The only two required items needed are genus and cultivar so in this case:
Genus: Camellia
Cultivar: Winter's Dream.
If a common name is different than the genus name, it's optional to add that.
i tried the new plant database screen...it would not process the request...i cannot recall the specific reason...it kept returning to the same screen... i had no more information than the 2 items you listed, genus and cultivar but it would not go through

Ahh, you wrote that you "tried to upload and image" so I was confused.
The most common reason why it wouldn't proceed is misspelling the genus so it doesn't recognize it.
Another reason is indentation. If you indent a space or two before entering the genus and cultivar instead of typing flush left, your proposal will be rejected.
Also, looking back at your earlier new plant proposals, Ira, I can see that all of them have had to be corrected by the mods and admins before they've been approved. You consistently enter the common name in the cultivar field and the cultivar name in the common name field. Please read this thread:
