Believe it or not, I always welcome a few jumping spiders in my plant room to help with the bugs--this was one of my little buddies for a while

I have a friend that took a similar shot of the same type of spider (jumping?) years ago, it was so fascinating!
There are a few IG accounts that raises them as pets. One is flower_the_jumping_spider

I had really hoped the spider would win best of show.
It will be my personal best of show, for sure.

There was a bit of weirdness with tied photos switching back and forth at the beginning. Maybe the tie-breaker program couldn't make up it's mind
yeah, okay--that's not how it works, but anyway--I threw this one in at the last minute because I thought he was kinda cute, even though he's pretty much at a 100% crop, and I'm glad I did
