I had thought that this was a Gardening website and organization. So I don't understand how photos with no plants in them can win in ANY category. There were absolutely amazing photos, but they had nothing to do with anything even slightly pertaining to Gardening. So to say I was disappointed is an understatement.

I don't understand your disappointment. I don't see any winning photos that aren't relevant to their categories. Are you referring to miscellaneous?

Sorry for your disappointment. I thought this was a fabulous contest, so many wonderful and exciting photos! Thanks to all the members for participating. Even the Misc. category was great!
But to each their own.

But surely gardening covers many aspects other than plants. The photo contest is a bit of fun and a way to share the pleasure of gardening with others on the site.
