Harris Seed has another sale - select packets on sale for $2.50 each with Free Shipping. There is a nice selection plus some F1 seeds. Pretty Zinnias for fans of those. Lots of veggies as well. https://www.harrisseeds.com/co...

And, damn - I paid ~$6 for that Dreams White Petunia seed and ~$9 shipping. Can't just buy a pack for next year while it's $2.50 with the free shipping as it's pelleted and won't last. I like that one as in pots on the porch I'd have blooms in Dec & Jan. Doesn't look great July through Oct here but the cooler weather (for here) blooms made up for it.

Adding - the free shipping is at $20 so you need to pick up 8 packs. CODE vintage. I easily managed .. sigh ..have to go buy more soils & seed starting mix.

@Jlee160 I also wish you successful treatment and a full recovery. It's amazing how cancer research is advancing daily. I go to Texas Oncology in Waco, where I now live, every 28 days to receive an infusion of immunosuppressant to protect my transplanted kidney from rejection. I have talked with many over the last eight years who have beaten cancer of all sorts. It's a happy occasion when someone rings the bell! Confetti and celebration. Cancer gone, and treatment ended. I pray you'll be ringing that bell very soon

@Jlee160 I hope your treatment goes well and you are cancer free this year! I don't know if you've started chemo yet but if you have any side effects please let your doctor know. They have a lot of ways to treat them so that you don't feel awful all the time. You may be back in the garden sooner than you think!

Hey Everyone~
I unknowingly purchased a packet of 100 'Maribor' Ornamental Kale seeds (2024) that have been treated with Thiram. The packet states 'For sowing only; not for feed, food or oil use. Keep out of reach of children. Call physician if exposed. Flush eyes or wash skin with with water. Induce vomiting if swallowed.' I'm not interested and am going to throw them away unless anyone here wants some. It can be broken down (5 pkts of 20?). The warning refers only to the seeds; the resulting kale itself is edible.
Edited to add: Not for bidding...will just add to your packet when seeds are sent in at the end of the swap.

Janine, since it's "ornamental", anyway I would like a packet. I need some winter color besides my amazingly hardy pansies.

Hi Janine @janinilulu

I'd like a few too, please. Needn't be 20, just 10.

I'll probably choose something of yours. I think I swapped w/21 of 26 in the last. So as lotteries go the odds are high!

@janinilulu I'd like some of your kale seeds too. My front flower bed needs some color when the roses are not blooming. Thank you!

Is everyone okay this morning? I know the storm's impact was widespread over several states. We were at 80 degrees for several days, then last night's storm marathon and we will be only in the 50's today. The winds did some damage to trees, but none to structures here that I'm aware of. Just a few miles both north and south of me experienced tornado damage, though. Hope everyone and their gardens are fine.

Glad you're okay, Alana! We are supposed to get it this afternoon in Central Florida. Usually it's lots of wind and rain, but I have been on the road before and heard tornado warnings. Sad Nothing materialized then, though. Hopefully we'll be okay today too.

@poisondartfrog We are good here. Lots of rain and clouds so our spring daffodils are getting a good drink. The tulips are just starting to show some color. Daytime temps have been around 50F and night in the high 30s. Hope everyone stays safe!
