It's the int'l symbol for information. I'm up for changing it but what kind of image conveys "System Message"? So far I think this is the best option.

Doesn't bother me a bit just as it is. I just didn't look closely enough.

If it's int'l then best to leave it so it will be recognizable by all. Thumbs up

I like the "i' better than the "!" -- less "in your face," to me. A thumb would be way cool, but thumbs aren't the only reason we get system messages. Hilarious!
