I think my Cattleya has been doing ok? I repotted it into this terracota pot and it had SO many roots! The above-ground roots also put out a few new bits of juicy growth...
I recently noticed these small bulb-y things. What does this mean?

Well in image 2, you have a new root tip growing just back from the old growing tip that was damaged some how. Once damaged the roots can branch.
Image one is a normal tip of a pseudobulb. With maturity a sheath will form here prior to blooming.
There are some Cattleyas that do bloom from this pseudobulb tip. That blooming happens more often in mini-Catts then the standard types. Not all Catts bloom from a sheath.
Images 3 and 4 are in so tight that I can not tell what I am suppose to look at.
There is no better thrill then catching fish using flies that you tied!

dyzzypyxxy said: Shrug! No idea, Ted. I'm flabbergasted that it has reverted too. This was a "bargain" plant that I got in bloom from Costco in 2013, with (of course) no tag. So I don't know the original name and can't guess the parents.

I wonder if there were 2 plants in the original pot.

Yes, that makes the most sense to me, if there were some immature bulbs of the orange one mixed in with the cream ones. The cream ones have *maybe petered out because of the heat, or just aren't blooming, and the orange ones have matured, and are more robust or heat tolerant.

As I said, though I'm still hoping some of the cream ones survived when I divided the plant.

Alex, would you mind moving this really nice bloom over to the February thread? This way everyone will see it! I am going to lock this thread.
