Tony just took two pictures of my adenium I talked about. They are in my email. Anyone who wants to see them - message me your email address and I'll send them to you. (I'm very computer challenged.)

Now this red "arabicum hybrid" (fuzzy glossy green leaves) has a nicely textured flower. The petals are thick and velvety. Super deep red but fades light pink. No tag in the pot. I have 2 of these and a friend of mine had this too. This and Red Eagle are the closest to red rose in form and color:

Cherish Love has the same thick velvety feel and she is obesum. I almost lost her last winter. So glad she recovered.

Sent you a tree mail Katie! Curious to see what type of adenium you have. Seems a really proliferous one.

Hmm Katie, looks like I can receive treemail via email notification but I can't receive regular email. Very strange I will have to wait for my hubby or daughter to figure out what's wrong with my email.

Hey, thanks for asking. : ) Yes, still in suspense. I don't think those buds are going to turn into blooms. They are still the same size.

The flowers are pretty for about 5 days per year. The seedlings have been super fun to sprout but at the rate they are growing, my son who is 19 might live long enough to see one of those bloom. Obviously I'm not doing whatever it is they want although hundreds of other plants are so happy. Or maybe they heard me saying I wanted them to stay small and took it a little too literally? Maybe they're insecure about so many other plants getting attention that they don't want to share? IDK. LOL!

Not sure I will be a long-term Adenium person. Some plants just don't like it @ my house, Adeniums wouldn't be the first on that list, if they end up there.

TIffany, they bloom much more than that. Even Gigi that's only 7 months old had the first flower open April 20th and still has 7 fully open with one more that will open in a couple more days. I'll get over a month of blooms from her from just one stem.

The older Lady Demure started blooming March 20th, and still has flowers on it today with several more branches with buds still forming.

We like to see others fully addicted to growing them! Hilarious!

Rolling on the floor laughing I probably am! I have not checked my emails or emailed anyone in a long time. Hubby thinks my setting, not sure if there is any setting to tweak. But I tried to send you an email, hope you get it.

My neighbor loves my Adeniums so I gave her two of my big ones. I was laughing at myself because she pots her Adeniums in big pots, all potting soil and her Adeniums are huge and thriving. Here's an example:
She never pruned or do anything (and I'm itching to hand pollinate the blooms Hilarious! )

Here's the one I kept and pruned Hilarious! I think I need to repot in a bigger pot and stop pruning:

Adeniums
We had a squall line come through yesterday afternoon, it started with some light sideways rain followed by about 15 minutes of sustained 50-60mph straight line winds. The plants on the deck lasted about 5 minutes before they started sliding into each other and tipping over.
Thumb of 2024-05-15/kyle_fl/9130cd

Given the number of tipped over and blown around pots I'm surprised to report no damage beyond leaves and flowers coming off some of the plants. The wind also sucked the loose soil out of several of the pots.

I have a few plants with flowers that are missing a lot of soil, if I repot them will they drop all the remaining flowers? Should I just top them off with fresh soil and repot them when they're done blooming? Leave them alone until they finish flowering?

I agree the wind lifted the Caudexes for you. Happy for you that you have no damage.

You have huge arabicums there!
