That flower opened solid white 2 days ago, I'll be keeping an eye on it 😉
That's also the plant that got a seedpod on it's own last fall.

You have huge arabicums there!

That's exactly what I was going to say, the wind lifted them for you! Hilarious! Nice and easy way to do it. They're all so nice and big and glad nothing really got damaged.

Yes! I tried growing the cuttings of this one and it didn't grow. And I almost lost this to root rot. I had to sacrifice the seedpod dropped.

Oh my goodness that is a lot of desert roses Lovey dubby Lovey dubby I won't be able to walk away without picking up 4 to 5 of those big caudexes.

My yard will be full of desert roses like that soon and I am even just growing to test the germination rate .

I love the color on Cherish Love! And funny you mention thick and velvety soft flowers... that's exactly what Princess Gigi feels like, especially the throat section. I laughed at myself the other day just feeling the flower that dropped! Hilarious! So Ylis and I are not alone in that weird fascination with feeling plants!

Hilarious! I do that a lot, touchy and feely. And also pick up the fallen blooms and let them float in a bowl of water or bucket when I am working outside.

I never thought of floating them in water, I'll have to try that. I think because of the weight of the big flowers, they fall off but they still look perfect, they're not wilted at all. I'll have to try it next one and see how long it'll last for the heck of it.

I really like the faint vanilla smell of Desert Biscuit. I wish I could get tuts to give me a seedpod.

Yes! Her scent needs to spread. Maybe I will use most of her pollens for crosses. I have 2 of these and a successful graft. I am behind grafting because I love pink so I am thinking twice of using my single petals seedlings for grafting D'Oh!

Are there guideline for what is considered the most desirable caudex?

Also, I've been trimming one and have several cuttings o branches which have roots. Are these likely to grow if I pot them up?

For most growers the fat caudex in proportion to the top branches is considered desirable. My top biggest caudexes are these:

Hard to see here but a Harry Potter grafted to a huge caudex.

Thumb of 2024-05-19/GigiAdeniumPlumeria/d1aa15
Innocent Glow grafted to a huge caudex. So glad that the rootstock decided to send a branch that is blooming. I plan to hand pollinate the bloom hoping to get seeds that would produce big caudex.

I will take a better photo tomorrow. Also for seedgrown, pruning the branches seem to help develop bigger caudex and constant repotting.

Yes the cuttings would and a 2 year old cutting could also develop a beautiful form. Especially since your Adenium forms that gorgeous bouquet naturally. Here's a cutting that I have been training to look like a tower Adenium:

Just seeing this in the neighborhood of my son's house. Quite a nice setup/arrangements of the adeniums with so many blooming flowers, something that is not common in Indonesia.
@GigiAdeniumPlumeria , this is another neighborhood where we are not allowed to build any fence or gate.
