That was so informative and so entertaining. Thanks, Dave and Trish. I love the idea of having him report on new plants in each podcast. I hope he agrees.

Just finished listening to the latest podcast.

Charlie sounds like a very knowledgeable guy. A great guest! I hope he comes back again. And poor Dave and Trish, ya'lls minds are no doubt spinning thinking and wondering about what you might like to plant now; more perennials...shrubs, flowers, kiwis?

Ya'll sure brought up some great points about how modern-day hybridizing is seemingly more focused on smaller plants. I guess as people's yards/gardens get smaller that is the norm. Well, if you want a variety of things, that is. Or we can all choose normal sized plants and just choose less of them for that same space, eh?

Ya'll are sure having fun with the podcasts, at least as much fun as in your gardens.

Best to all!

Shoe (ashamed he doesn't have many flower beds but only a veggie garden and too many potted nursery plants!)

I really was impressed with Charlie. I'm delighted that Trish invited him. I could have easily talked perennials with him for 3 hours. The 30 minutes we talked just flew by. Having him bring frequent updates to the podcast would be outstanding.

I'm sure glad you're enjoying our podcasts, Shoe. If you were our only listener, that would be enough for me.

Looking forward to the next one. Today I listened to it in pieces, which is an extra plus, something you can't do with a "live radio" show. Listen while in my shoffice, Pause while dealing with outside stuff, Play when at my desk again, Pause while at the mkt, Play when home again, etc. Works great for me!

Thanks again!
