How do I refer someone to garden.org? I clicked on the 'refer a member' link in my profile, but it went nowhere.

Thanks!

Think I used to copy and past the link to the person that I wanted to refer.

Christine, you can click on the icon for your account in the right upper corner of any page, open your profile, and find your "refer a member link", which is listed in your profile. It's near the bottom under the 4th heading. Copy and paste.

I did the same by copying and pasting my refer a member link.

I must have forgotten something over the years... is there some reason to use "refer a member" instead of just telling them to go to garden.org?

If you are chatting with someone on-line, supplying the sign up link makes it quite easy for them to sign up. Telling someone about garden.org is a good thing but they may not remember to actually come to the site.

As RJ mentioned, you don't click on that link, it's the actual link that you copy and paste to the person.

I appreciate the responses here. I can't copy and paste the link--if I try, it simply takes me to another page that says I'm logged in. It seems like it worked differently when I invited another person to join about 6 years ago. I think I got some acorns for doing it. It's not a big deal, I just wondered if there was a way of doing it that's different from before. Again, thanks everyone!

I figured out how to copy and paste the referral link. I'm still trying to learn new tech tricks!
