I know it's a burden to have all of these come into your care. I too!

But you are lucky to have the videos, which are somewhat special over photos. I have exactly one 2 minute video of my dad. He passed well before everyone had a video of everything. I'm sure he was captured before but this is the only one we have shared with us.

How lovely you have something to share with your siblings as well as your own family. He looked like a loving man. I love how your sisters eye contact with him is.

My best to you as you go on your journey, it's not easy some days is it. You'll always find a bit of your parents in each and every day as you go along - embrace it, it's their way of saying hello.

Thank you for sharing your dad. Group hug

I love the video and your choice of music. What a delight... as I sit here crying. Lovey dubby How special.

I also love the sentiment @ScarletTricycle It is one I need to share with a friend who was recently widowed and struggling. Thank you.

I needed to read your blog today, Terri. We share a lot, you and I, but we sure never expected to share mourning our fathers on the same day.

I really appreciated Scarlet's perspective. I'll think of my dad laughing and waving at me the next time Josie does something really "naughty" like stealing a tissue from the side table. She once lovingly climbed into Dad's lap with the sneaky intention of stealing the tissue from his shirt pocket. (Josie is my almost 10 year old golden retriever, a favorite inheritance from my parents.)

I see my dad in mannerisms my kids have, dad passed well before they were born and yet here he is daily in things they do daily. Just know those we lost are always with us. It may seem we are on our own once they are gone, but we aren't. I'm a firm believer they stick with us.

Warm thoughts to all of you struggling with loss.

I'm sorry your dad and your kids didn't get to know one another, at least not directly. Group hug

Before my mom died, I told her she'd better try to keep an ear out, because I didn't intend to stop talking to her just because she was dead. So yeah, I think they stick with us in many ways.
