Just brainstorming....I have friends on this site and when they pull up my profile, they see 206 'plants in jkporter's plant list'. When I pull up my site, there are 1,046 plants in plant list. As we know, that plant list is how we access all the photos we have added. The daylily number is accurate at 1,451 contributions for myself and my friends, but they can't access my pictures I have loaded pushing on the daylily button as we all have to go through the 'plant' button. I can access what I have done, but evidently no one else can. The privacy setting in the category list is set to public....Has this happened to anyone else? Or are there any techy folks that can help?

I have reread your post several times, it's a bit confusing but I do think you are getting confused by the various options too. Your plant database contributions and your personal plant inventory list are 2 separate things.
So if you actually want to share what daylily images you have added, others need to click on your photo contributions then use the drop down menu to select Hemerocallis and refresh to now only show your daylily images.

And under "jkporter's active areas of the database", that number of 1451 is just a number count of only your contributions, clicking on the word Daylilies just takes you to the actual database.

Oh and I only see 206 plants in your personal inventory list, not sure where you are getting the 1046 number and you mention a category which we also can't see so if you have more than the 206 and have another category set up then most likely that is set to private,

Sorry… try this again. The first photo is what my friends see with 209 plants. The second photo is what I see with 1049 plants. The third photo is what my friends see when they look up my daylilies…. They can only see 66 or so…. I can see all 800 I have listed but others can't. The fifth photo is my privacy setting. It's odd because some daylilies are seen by others so if privacy setting was the issue in a certain 'category' of plants , friends couldn't see any daylily photos I wouldn't think.

The privacy setting listed is if you were to make a new category. If you click on the edit (the pencil and paper) underneath "Daylily" does it show a privacy setting for that category itself?

Hamwild.....I did exactly what you stated just now....I'm HOPING it has now opened things up for others to see???? I will wait and see what others tell me from looking....if so, you have just made my day....no my week! Would be a lot of work to go through to not be able to share with others!

I clicked on the daylilies and able to pull them up, it does take a little time to load over eight hundred on two pages, but I can see them all also.

Yup, as I suspected, you had a category set as private. 😉
