Recently, I have been doing quite a bit of research on daylily parentage and have gotten quite spoiled by the daylily db. For those who have not used it, you can click on the pod parent's name or pollen parent's name and it'll take you to their information. From there, you can click on one of its parent's name and you are then automatically directed to that daylily's information and so on and so on. I have found this to be an extremely powerful feature and it has saved me a considerable amount of time when constructing family trees. (Thank you, Dave, for this capability - it is extremely nice!!!!)

Today, I went to the Iris database to research some genealogy there and noticed that this database doesn't function in the same manner. In order to research parentage, I am copying a parent's name and then pasting it back to search engine then returning back to initial iris and copying the other parent, pasting, searching, etc. (I hope this makes sense??)

Is there an easy way to have the same "clickable" capability for the Iris database that the Daylily database has? It isn't that big of deal but the time I saved researching daylilies using this feature saved a lot of time (and as I said before, it spoiled me rotten Smiling ).

This may be something that will be done once all the details are added to the entire database, including the parentage. Thumbs up

Great! I was surprised how much time the "clickable" parentage saved until I was without it Smiling I think it is one of my favorite features.

Hurray! That would be a most wonderful feature, even in the sempervivum. We do have some that have information on parentage. Smiling
